Kivu Ruhorahoza is an award-winning Rwandan filmmaker based in Kigali. His work has been showcased at the Berlin and Melbourne International Film Festivals, the Sundance, Sydney, Tribeca, and Warsaw Film Festivals, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, and at renowned venues such as the Tate Modern, London, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Ruhorohozaâs work includes the feature-length films Fatherâs Day (2022), Europa (2019), Things of the Aimless Wanderer (2015) and Grey Matter (2011).
Zaninka, a masseuse in her forties, has just lost her only son. In her twenties, Mukobwa faces the dilemma of donating a lobe of one of her lungs to a father with a murky past. Kadogo, a young boy, roams the city with his father, a smalltime crook with anger management issues.
