The Foundation of The Marrakech film festival
The Foundation of the Marrakech International Film Festival, a non-profit organisation, was created in July 2002 as an initiative of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The Foundation was recognised as being of public utility in accordance with decree no. 2-02-571 of 4 Joumada 1423 (15 July 2002).
The Foundation’s primary purpose is the organization of the annual Marrakech International Film Festival and all related events aimed at encouraging cinematic creation, and the promotion and distribution of cinematic works in the Kingdom of Morocco and around the world.
