After studying at Sciences Po Toulouse and INA Sup, Mélisa Godet joined Les Productions du Trésor in 2009, becoming Head of Development. Her debut novel Les Augustins won multiple awards. Since beginning work as a screenwriter in 2016, she directed the short films Tu vas t’y faire and Oma’s Children. She then wrote and directed the series LT-21, which won the SACD-OCS Signature Fund award. A Place for Her, her debut feature-length film, has its MENA premiere at the Marrakech International Film Festival.
At the Women’s Center of Saint-Denis, women who are victims of violence are cared for. Elsewhere, they are threatened, brutalized, raped, and mutilated, their suffering ignored. Here, they are listened to, supported, helped, believed. Here, Diane, Manon, Inès, Awa, and the others will lend them a hand until they can stand up again. As a team. Even if it means risking their own balance.
