
Hlynur Pálmason is an Icelandic filmmaker, screenwriter, and visual artist. He began his career in visual arts before transitioning to filmmaking, graduating from the National Film School of Denmark in 2013. He made his feature-length debut with the well-received Winter Brothers and followed it up with A White, White Day, which had its premiere in La Semaine de la Critique at the Festival de Cannes. His third feature, Godland, was selected for Un Certain Regard at Cannes. His fourth feature, The Love that Remains, premiered at the Festival de Cannes.
A year in the life of a family as the parents navigate their separation. Through playful and heartfelt moments, the film portrays the bittersweet nature of faded love and shared memories amid the changing seasons.
