Director's Biography

Park Chan-wook was born in Seoul. He studied philosophy at Sogang University and later worked as a film critic while pursuing a career as a writer-director. His works include The Moon Is... the Sun's Dream; Joint Security Area; Oldboy; Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance; I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK; Thirst; Stoker; Lady Vengeance; The Handmaiden; and Decision to Leave. No Other Choice, his most recent film, had its premiere at the Venice International Film Festival.
