Italo-French actor and singer Chiara Mastroianni began her career in 1993 in André Téchiné’s My Favourite Season. Her credits include notable collaborations with celebrated directors, such as Christophe Honoré’s Love Songs, Making Plans for Lena, Man at Bath, Beloved, and On a Magical Night, for which she won the Un Certain Regard Best Performance Award at the Festival de Cannes; Arnaud Desplechin’s My Sex Life… or How I Got into an Argument and A Christmas Tale; Robert Altman’s Prêt-à-Porter; Xavier Beauvois’s Don’t Forget You’re Going to Die, a Cannes Jury Prize winner; and Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis — also a Cannes Jury Prize winner. Recently, she appeared in Marcello Mio, which was presented in the Official Competition at Cannes. Mastroianni stars alongside Melvil Poupaud in Nicolas Pariser’s upcoming Un peu avant minuit.
