Biographie

Virginie Efira had her first leading role in 2013 in David Moreau’s It Boy and won acclaim with her performance in Justine Triet’s In Bed with Victoria, for which she won the Magritte Award for Best Actress and was nominated for the César Award for Best Actress. In 2018, she was seen in Catherine Corsini’s An Impossible Love and Gilles Lellouche’s Sink or Swim. After appearing in Paul Verhoeven’s Elle, she collaborated with the director again in Benedetta. The year 2022 saw her star in the successful Paris Memories by Alice Winocour, for which she won both the César and the Magritte for Best Actress. Efira then starred in 2024 in Zlotowski’s A Private Life, in which she stars opposite Jodie Foster. She will next be seen in Asghar Farhadi’s Parallel Tales and  Ryūsuke Hamaguchi’s All of a Sudden.
