Director's Biography

French director and screenwriter Rebecca Zlotowski was born in Paris in 1980. A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure and La Fémis, her films are Dear Prudence, which was presented in La Semaine de la Critique at the Festival de Cannes and won the Louis Delluc Prize for Best First Film and the Critics Award for Best First Film from the French Union of Film Critics; Grand Central, an Official Selection at Cannes; Planetarium, starring Natalie Portman, which was presented at the Venice International Film Festival; An Easy Girl, which won the SACD Award in the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes; and Other People’s Children, which was selected for competition in Venice. A Private Life, her most recent film, stars Jodie Foster and had its premiere at Cannes.
