Ten-year-old Ayoub lives with his family in the modest home of his late grandfather. When Ayoub’s uncle demands his share of the inheritance, Ayoub’s father is forced to divide the apartment. His family ends up with the section that has no toilet. While they await enough money to afford to install one, they face a difficult situation that has a profound effect on their way of life and their interrelationships, giving rise to tensions that cast long shadows over the family’s daily existence.
