
Neeraj Ghaywan is an award-winning Indian director. His debut feature-length film, Masaan, had its premiere in the Un Certain Regard section at the Festival de Cannes in 2015, where it won the FIPRESCI Prize and the Promising Future Award. The film went on to play at more than 30 international festivals and is now considered a modern Indian classic. Since then, Ghaywan has built a distinct body of work across film and long-form streaming, often centering his narratives around caste, class, gender, and identity. In 2022, he was featured in Variety’s International Directors to Watch. With Homebound, he returned to Un Certain Regard at Cannes.
